Lapointe leads Canada to 15th Rep hockey roundup A final-round 75 for Mary Ann Lapointe of Georgetown and a 67 by teammate Laura Matthews from Essex, Ont. pushed Canada up the overall standings to finish 15th at the Women's World Amateur Team Championship last week in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Individually, the 46-yearold Lapointe finished in a tie for 44th place at nine over par through the 72-hole tournament, while Matthews placed in a tie for 12th. Sr. Rebels, Jaguars to finish season 1-2 Continued from pg. 21 Kyle Sutherland and Christian DeAngelis scored touchdowns to give the Rebels the lead in the third quarter against host Pearson on Monday. Marinangeli said the previous time Georgetown made it to the Halton finals at Hamilton's Ivor Wynne Stadium was in the early 1970s and he couldn't recall if that team went undefeated, but is certain that the senior Rebels have never won a regional football championship. Meanwhile, Christ the King's Jaguars look to have second place in the Richardson Division with a 36-0 trouncing of winless Milton District on Monday. Dan Rovere and Kyle Sutherland scored two touchdowns apiece for the 4-1 Jags and Gabe Aubrey-Morin also had a major score. Brett Piva added four converts. Christ the King's seniors will tackle Pearson at home Thursday afternoon to complete the regular schedule.
