Local bridge club holds tourney in Gananoque TOM GIBBS Georgetown Bridge Club The Georgetown Bridge Club recently held its tournament at the Colonial Inn in Gananoque, gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region. Many local attractions included historical displays and videos of the region's early days. Views of the autumn foliage from atop the Skydeck Tower on Hill Island were spectacular. Tournament winners were Fred Marks, Carolyn and Tom Gibbs, Kees DeGroot, Midge and Ed McKelvie, Stan Muir and Dave Rivers. Local merchants donated generous prizes, including Timeless Treasures Gifts, Bergsma's Paint and Wallpaper, Supreme Hairstyling, VanRyn Lawn Care, Kopper's Imports. Welcome Wagon says thanks C&S Printing, located at 119 Mill Street was recently recognized for 10 years of sponsorship of the Welcome Wagon of Halton Hills as hostesses Polee Mark (left) and Gail LaBranche presented a plaque of appreciation to (from left) Blake Smith, Donna Smith, Valerie Bloomfield and Don Smith.
