Dr. Abdel Malek is Halton's latest recruitment Physician opens practice in Georgetown The Halton Physician Recruitment Initiative recently welcomed Dr. Wafik Abdel Malek to Halton Hills. Dr. Abdel Malek has joined Dr. Seegobin's office on Sinclair Avenue in Georgetown, where he is welcoming new patients. Dr. Abdel Malek recently completed his family medicine residency training through the University of Toronto. He previously practised for 15 years as a family physician in Egypt. "Even though the Halton Physician Recruitment Initiative has attracted more than 60 doctors to Halton since 2002, there is still more work to do," said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. "Halton's population is expected to increase and we will continue our efforts to ensure our residents have access to quality medical care as our communities grow". "We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Abdel Malek," said Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette. "More and more people are using the web to find the information they need and this is a very good example of how we can use our website to make it easier for people to access services." The listing of new doctors is provided by the Halton Physician Recruitment Initiative, which was established in 2002 to address Halton's shortage of family physicians through a comprehensive marketing and promotion strategy.
