The museum, located at the Mold-Masters SportsPlex, is seeking nominees for the Museum's first gala induction ceremony set for Thursday, June 21 at the John Elliott Theatre. Tickets are $30 each and the evening starts at 6 p.m with a reception and the formal awards follow at 7 p.m. Any person who is, or has been, distinguished as an athlete, an executive member or coach, or who has brought honour to Halton Hills shall be eligible for election provided he or she was a resident of the Town of Halton Hills at the time of the achievement which is the basis for his or her consideration. Builder candidates may be either active or inactive at the time of their consideration. Deadline for nominations is March 13. ATHLETES of the Week CHRIST THE KING ACTON GEORGETOWN DISTRICT DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL 2007 SPECTRA MSRP $15,995* Julie Silas Erica Bowes. Jessica Stuart Acton High School Athletes of the Week are Erica Bowes and Zack Fry. Bowes, a member of the Bearcats Swim Team, was chosen for her strong showing at Robert Bateman Swim Meet, where she finished first in her heat (10th overall) in the 50 metre freestyle and fourth overall in the 50 butterfly. Fry, a point guard on the Bearcats junior basketball team, was selected as MIP for the season, and had a solid game against CtK. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Jessica Stuart and Justin Bravo. Both are members of the Rebels swim team, and competed at the GHAC swim meet at Brock University. Stuart came home with two golds (50 metre butterfly and 100 metre IM) and a silver in the 4X50 metre relay. Bravo brought home two golds (freestyle relay and 50 metre breast stroke) and broke the GHAC record. Christ the King Athletes of the Week are Jaguar swim team members Julie Silas and Wes Balogh. Silas placed first in the 100m freestyle and set a meet record of 1:06.5 at the recent Golden Horseshoe championships at Brock University in St. Catharines. She also finished second in the 50m butterfly at GHAC and is a medal contender for the upcoming OFSAA finals in Etobicoke in early March. Balogh narrowly missed out on a trip to OFSAA by placing fourth at GHAC in the 50m butterfly and seventh in the 100m freestyle finals.
