Enjoy dinner and a murder to aid the Bennett Centre A murder will take place on Saturday, March 24, and it will be up to diners to solve the mystery. The fundraising event takes place at the Optimist Hall on Hwy. 7, west of Georgetown. Tickets are $40. "We are raising this money to give our residents at the Bennett Health Care Centre a serenity room. It will be an aromatherapy room, and we will also be putting a computer in there for them with internet access for those who wish to use it," said organizer Katie Downes. "It would be nice to give them a functioning room they can relax in, have tea, or play cards etc. The government doesn't fund things like this, and the point of it is just to improve the quality of life for our seniors. They deserve all that we can do a n d more." Guests are to arrive for 6 p.m. for drinks and appetizers. Dinner-- roast beef or chicken with sides of vegetables, potatoes, salads, etc.-- will be served at 7 p.m. There will be a cash bar. Professional actors will come in and start their skits sometime between 6:30-7 p.m. One of them will `die' and it is up to the audience to figure out who did it, why and how. There will be a prize for whoever comes up with the best answer. The audience will not be the actors-- only the crime sleuths. Tickets can be purchased at the reception desk at the Bennett Centre or contact Downes at 416-731-0608 kdownes@mail.com
