Do you want to be a star? Margaret Brady, treasurer of Georgetown Little Theatre and GLT member Terry Morton, share some information about GLT with Mike Cornell (centre) of Georgetown during a recent promotion day at Georgetown Market Place. GLT members, in costume, offered residents a "sneek peak" at the workings of the local theatre group. Photo by Yves Desjardins GLT opens with comedy next week Georgetown Little Theatre presents Return Engagements, by Bernard Slade, at the John Elliott Theatre, April 19-21 and April 25-28. The first act is comprised of three vignettes showing separate couples: a tipsy actress and the bellboy who has bedded her the night before; a gutsy Polish woman who has survived the Second World War and a carpenter whom she chooses to father her baby; and an acid tongued columnist and his cool psychotherapist wife who are about to split up. In the second act, we meet the couples 20, 25 and 30 years later, as we learn much to our merriment how they ended up. We learn how, ultimately, their stories are all linked together. This comedy is very entertaining, laced with great one liners and farcical situations. For tickets call the Box Office, 905-877-3700. And the Thea goes to ...
