Membership in $100K club soars APPLEBY SYSTEMS AIR CONDITIONERS The number of public sector employees in Halton whose annual salary topped $100,000 last year grew significantly over the previous year, with the biggest increase at the Halton District School Board (HDSB). At the board, the number of employees who earned at least $100,000 more than doubled. In 2005 36 HDSB employees made the elite list, but that number shot up to 83 last year. Halton Catholic District School Board had seven additional employees, for a total of 26 earning $100,000 or more last year compared to 19 in 2005. Halton Region also saw a significant increase in top earners with 74 making the list last year compared to 60 in 2005. At the Town of Halton Hills only one more employee than the previous year earned big bucks. There were seven in 2005 and eight in 2006. The names and salaries of the top earning public sector employees were included on the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Report for 2006, recently released by the Ontario Ministry of Finance.
