At the park they will meet with veterans, thank them, then place the candles that will burn throughout the night, around the cenotaph. 7:00 pm: Silent Walk- Everyone Welcome. Begins at Royal Canadian Legion (Downtown) Branch 120 & proceeds left on Mill St. to Charles Street. At Charles St. the procession will turn right and proceed along Charles St. past Princess Anne Drive to James St., then right on James St. to the "pavilion" at Remembrance Park. Reception to follow at Branch 120. *Members of the public may join the procession at any point. VE Day All Veterans Are Invited. On this day, the residents of Halton Hills along with 1100 area school children will gather in order to pay tribute to your sacrifices & achievements. Please be with us as we pass the symbolic torch of remembrance. At the cenotaph the walkers will place their lighted candles on the base of the cenotaph and bow their heads in tribute to our Veterans. Having placed the candles the participants will show their gratitude by shaking hands with all the Veterans in attendance.
