Tomorrow's (Saturday) Pesticide Exchange may be your answer. The annual event, held at the Halton Waste Management Site's household hazardous waste depot in Milton, allows residents to drop off old or unused pesticides between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Those who participate will receive free garden giveaways while supplies last. In addition, residents can use this as an opportunity to drop off other household hazardous waste, such as paint, oil, propane tanks and other household chemicals (maximum of 20 litres per visit). "In the past four years, the pesticide exchange day has helped to divert almost 2,000 litres of pesticides to safe disposal," said Halton Medical Officer of Health Dr. Bob Nosal.
