Acton/Georgetown, Friday, June 8, 2007 21 Golf tournament to aid Georgetown and Acton youth centres The fourth annual golf tournament to aid Open Door and Off the Wall youth centres will be held on Sunday, August 19, 7 a.m. start at GolfNorth (Acton Meadows) in Acton. Cost is $85 per person, teams of four. Fee includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart (2 per cart) and steak or chicken barbecue. Prizes and silent auction. This year the school's competition team entered three competitions. `StarCatchers' in Toronto, `Dance, Dance, Canada' in Waterloo and `Rhythm Dance' in Guelph. Both Junior and Senior teams performed exceptionally well and came home with High Silvers, Golds and Platinums, Alison Chiasson, a member of the Senior team won two special awards for her solo `Hurt': "Most Promising Dancer" and "Most Committed Dancer." Members of the Junior team are: Madison Phipps, Astrid Marschall, Sara Dolman, Shelby Antoniow and Amanda Kuipers. Members of the Senior team are: Justine Marschall, Alison Chiasson, Emily Kaye, Molly LeHoux, Gwendoline Carlier, Chelsea Phipps and Denise Marshall. This past year the Halton Hills School of Dance also entered two sets of Royal Academy of Dance examinations. All of the students passed with high Distinction and Merits. The Halton Hills School of Dance will be performing `Annie & Other Pieces' on June 8th, 9th & 10th at the John Elliot Theatre. Please call the Theatre Box for tickets.
