Proudly tickling those ivories after months and months of hard work were students ranging from Grade 3-9. The high-level performance of Geneviève Hooker (twice gold medal winner) and Claudia Paonessa (one gold and one bronze) was noted by the adjudicator. They both were invited to play their Chop Sticks duet at the Rose Theatre, in Brampton, at the Festival of the Stars Concert and were awarded a monetary prize. Hi & Louw Keys Piano Studio will be presenting its year-end recital on Saturday, June 23 in the Gallery of the Halton Hills Cultural Centre, 9 Church St. There will be two shows at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. "Piano roll" to all winners who deserve the highest praise! First place winners (gold): Aaron Gibbons, Geneviève Hooker (2), Steven Kutarna, Claudia Paonessa, J.D. Shippel, Tyler Shippel. Second place winners (silver): Emily Hale, Kiki Izzard, Leah Perry, Lindsay Poulton, Rachel Sproule, and third place winner (bronze) Claudia Paonessa.
