Independent & Free Press, Wednesday, August 29, 2007 15 Choral Society invites singers to audition How would you like to perform with a choir that has sung at Roy Thomson Hall? Or traveled to Europe to participate in the 50th Anniversary of VE day? Or performed with world renowned soloists? Why not join Georgetown's community choir? On Monday, Sept. 3, the Georgetown Choral Society will begin rehearsal for the fall season in preparation for their Christmas concert, Handel's Messiah, held at the Christian Reformed Church in December. Every year the choir opens its doors to new members in September and in January. This year two open rehearsals will be held on September 3 and September 10. Male voices are especially welcome. All singers will be expected to go through a short audition to assess voice quality and range. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at Knox Presbyterian Church, lower hall from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
