Some of the fair's highlight attractions for this year's weekend of festivities will move into the Acton Agricultural Society's Dufferin Community Centre, located just inside the front gates of the Prospect Park Fairgrounds. The new building will provide 26,000 square feet of space along with an adjacent playing field to accommodate more visitors and exhibitors. "It's a multi-purpose facility that gives us a lot of flexibility," said AAS president Dale Hewitt. "The home crafts people will now be indoors and we should have room for about 500 to 600 people to watch the entertainment shows that we have every year." As well as the popular Miss Acton and Baby Show, the 2007 Leathertown fair welcomes three performers who are expected to draw many fans of Elvis Presley to the new venue.
