ARNOTT - JEFFERSON - At the Markdale House, on the 12th July, by Rev. A. Wilson, Mr. Andrew Arnott to Miss Charlotte Ann Jefferson, all of Euphrasia. IRVING - WHITE - At the residence of the bride's father, by Rev. A. Wilson, on th 14th inst., Mr. Andrew S. Irving to Miss Janet, second daughter of Mr. John Whyte. Drowning Accident A sad accident which happened at Walter's Falls on Monday last cast a gloom over the 12th of July celebration in that village. It appears that a young man about sixteen years of age, named William Norton, son of Wm. Norton, Esq., went bathing in the mill pond with some other boys, and when the procession had just started the other boys ran up with the news that the young Norton had been drowned. The intelligence of this sad affair at once put a stop to the celebration, and much sympathy is felt for his parents, who are widely known in Holland and adjacent townships. - Owen Sound Times Drowned in a Cistern Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Disney, of Hanover, were spending Sunday last at Mrs. Disney's father's (Mr. Seeling) in Carrick, and had their children with them. The family were taking their dinner and the children were seated at the table with them. Adam finished his dinner and got down from the table and began playing around, the family taking no notice of his whereabouts. In a short time hew was missed and a search was made for him when, to the horror of the whole family, the little fellow was found in the cistern and was dead. he had only been missed a short time and his transition from life to death was indeed very sudden. The family were overpowered with grief at the loss of their fine little boy who was about three years old. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon and was largely attended. The family have the sympathy of the community in their sudden bereavement. - Hanover Post 1 ' V PHOTOGRAPRY. MRS.
