J. Bellamy and H. Down. The gathering did not decide to celebrate the 12th of July, 1924, in Owen Sound, but as two of the dist- ricts had already decided to do so, it was left to the discression of Osprey whether they did or not. About fifty of the brethren of the county were present. EUGENIA WON GAME I FROM FLESERTON 3-2 PORTLAW The severe stomu have piled the beautiful high on the roads, and pre- vented church service being bdd for some weeks. The doctors and mail carriers have experienced great dif- ficulty in making their rounds. The new snow plow has been doing good work in keeping the roads open. We are all glad to hear that Miss May Cornfield is recovering from a serious illness, under the doctor's care Miss Violet Taylor has almost re- covered from her recent illness, which her friends are glad to bear. Mr. and Mrs. David Blakey who held a successful sale recently are re- moving with their family this week to Toronto. Mr. Roy Lyons, who has been in Toronto for some time arrived home last Friday. Another little girl arrived on Mon- day at the home of Mr and Mrs. Thos. Black. M. Fisher, who is visiting with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Lyons, is ill with pneumonia. A deer was seen twice during the past week by some of our citizens. (From the Eugenia Corr.) The Eugenia Bear Cats (as dubbed by the Fleshertonians) drove to Flesherton on Thursday evening of last week to play a game of, what the Flesherton boys called "shinny," with the Flegherton Wild Cat hockeyists and which resulted in a score of 3-2 in favor of the Bear Cats. Though our boys were unable to play a good combination (owing to no practice, whatever) they kept the Wild Cats right after them, but the Sear Cats were hard to follow. A good clean, speedy game was played by the boys of both tetams, and there isn't a doubt but that if the Eugenia Bear Cats had a few good chances to practice I they would in time learn how to play HOCKEY. Mr. Frank Thurston refereed the game in his usual cap- able manner and gave good decisions, satisfactory to both teams. The line-up was Goal, Ken Large; Defence Herb Betts and F. Betts; Centre G. Large; Left Wing Rae Genoe; Right Wng, Chas. Park; subs., Russ Mc- Mullen and Russ. Park. Flesher- ton's line-up was Goal, Akins; De- fence, S. McTavish and J. Dow; Centre, K. Boyd; Left Wing, Wes Armstrong; Right Wing R. Patton. CARD OF THANKS Small Advertisemenis Truck For Rentâ€" 1% ton truck for â-  rent. â€" G. B Welton, Flesherton. | RabbiU Wanted for fox feed/â€" J.
