' ^ Farm To Sell or Trade ENLIGHTENING INFORMATION In his desire to enlighten the peo- ple of Canada with respect to the large profits made by the T. Eaton Co. by the sale of postage stamps and money orders in their storer ia one year, Mr. Matthew R. Duncan, m. P. of North Grey, placed on the order paper of the House of Commons a number of pertinent questions which he wanted answered and the informa- tion given in reply as given in Han- sard under date of June 16th, is very interesting. It shows that the T. Ea- ton Co. made a profit of nearly $25,- 000 in one year which an ordinary business man wonld consider a very fine income for a year's business, but which is a great handicap to the other retail merchants of Canada. Mr Dun- can is a very strong exponent of the "buy at home" proposition, which for many years has been one of the many great problems for the retail men all over Canada, outside of Winnipeg and Toronto.
