Everyone who was at the Sunday school picnic on Wednesday last en-- joyed themselveg immensely. The day was fine and there was a good turnout. All those who indulged in the games and races received prizes. The little folks thought it wag great sport winning so many prizes. There were lots of good things to eat to satisfy the inner man. Then in the evening Dromore folks came over and had a lively game of Softball with Priceville. The score was 31-11 in favor of Priceville. Everybody then ! journed home after the pleasant after- noon they had. Miss Ida Hincks has been engaged to teach school near Eugenia. Miss Hincks taught for the past two years near Singhampton, so decided to have a change. They say a change is as good as a rest. Mr. David Hincks and daughters, Gladys, Jean and Almeda and son, Clifford, motored to Guelph and spent the week end with relatives there. Mr. John Scott and daughter, Mild- red, of Toronto were visitors at Mr. i H. R. MacLean's on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Nichol and fam- ily visited friends in CoUingwood on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. So come early and celebrate and spend the hol- iday at Vandeleur. Mr. Otto Baker is in Owen Sound hospital, where he has had an opera- tion for appendicitis. Mrs. Baker accompanied him and remained for a few days. The W. L held their July meeting at the home of Mrs. F. R. Boland on Thursday of last week. Mrs. S. When all the runs were counted up at the end of the eight innings it was found that Kimberley had secured seventeen runs with the Flesherton nine only securing two, Rright from the start Flesherton was handicapped for the lack of players. some of the best being unable to ap- pear owing to various causes. Mor- rison pitched good ball ami with any kind of support in the field would have made a good showing. How- ever there are no alibis for the defeat. Bowles hit safely the first inning and stole second, Mel. Sled letting him in with a double for the only ^, counter until the eighth inning.
