Hawken's store Death came suddenly in Toronto on Monday of last week to an old resi- dent of Artemesia township in the person of Mr. John Richardson, broth- er of Mr. Robt. Richardson of town. Death came as the result of a stroke suffered the week befor*" from which he was apparently recovering. The late Mr. Richardson was born in Halton county 71 years ago and came to this township with his par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Richardson. He marriea Miss Jane Abott of Pro- ton township who survives, along with a family of five girls and one son, Ada, Rebecca, Ethel, Mable and Flor- ence, all of Toronto and .\lbert of Niagara Falls, N. Y., all who were present at the funeral. He also leaves tnree sisters and three brothers: Ed. of Detroit, Will, of Winnipeg, Robert of Fie-sherton, Lucy (Mrs. Wm. Guest) of Brownsville Jet., Maine, Minnie (Mrs. Doville) of Rochester, N. Y., and Annie of Owen Sound. The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon last with ser\ice at the house and interment taking place in Park Lawn cemetery, Toronto. Col. A. G. Too many birds of unfinished quality reaching the market are likely to cause a break in prices. On the other hand, if these birds are held over, and given proper finish, better prices will be realized by the producer. It is anticipated that firm prices will follow the holiday season foi quality poultry. BORN McDonald â€" At Pickering, Ont., on Monday, December 12, 1932, to Mr. and Mrs. E. L. McDonald, a son. An addition will be built to Kin- cardine Public School building this year. Lt.-Col. Andrew G. Campbell, 230 Rusholme Road, Toronto, former O. C. of the 31st Grey Regiment, died on Saturday at the age of 86*years. Ht was born in Darlington Township, but the greater part of his life was spent in Flesherton, where he became In- terested in military affairs, jtfiued the 31st Regiment as a private and worked his way upward until he became Its officer commanding. For many years he was an inspector of the old Colonial Investment and Land Co. He had re- sided in Toronto for the last 25 years. He attended Centennial United church, was a member of Manito Lodge, A.F. and A.M., and of the 32nd Scotti.sh Rite. He was a bachelor and tht last survivor of the original family. Two nieces and two nephews, Miss Kate Campbell and C. J. Sproule, To- ronto; Mrs. J. Birkelanii, Vancouvei and Allan J. Campbo!'., Victoria, are the survivors. The remains were brought from To- ronto by motor hearse on Tuesday and i.nterment was made in Flesherton cemetery. .Among those who accompanied the remains from Toronto were the de- ceased's pastor, Mr. Caspar Sproule and Mrs. L. W. Thorn of Barrle. The 31st Grey Battalion was rep- resented by Lt.-Col. McLachlan, Col. T. J. Rutherford, Capt.
