The social evening of the Young People's Society was held at the home of Mrs. Eby on Wednesday, March 18 with nearly sixty present. The meeting was opened by singing "Oh God our help in ages past," which was followed by the Lord's Prayer. The minutes were read by Ronald Springgay, adopted by Mun-ay Lep- ard and seconded by Kathleen Haw- ton. The roll call was answered by an L ish expression or an Irish sorig. Herb Eby the social convenor con- tinued the meeting with a song "When Irish Eyes are Smiling." Murray Lep- and gave a reading "Blarney Stone," followed by a song. "Tipperary" and a reading by Flora Morrison. Every one united in the singing of "My Wild Irish Rose," followed by a reading by Mac Stephen and a song, "Peggy 0'- Neil," .Allan Springgay gave a read- ing and the song "Tipperary" was repeated. Fun for everyone was then supplied in the form of games and contests. Prizes were awarded to the winners. Lunch concluded the program and the Mizpah Benediction was repeated in unison.
