Clerk V ANDkLEUR The Farm Forum met Monday evening at the home of Mr. Andrew Fawcett and considered the five questions assigned for discussion- It was felt that the present crime wave was caused largely by war time con- ditions- phildren in many casete were left without proper supervision while parents were absent- Training for good citizenship should begin in the cradle and continue to the grave- Ewcry effort Should be made to provide full time employment, with supervised recreation, and education designed to develop latent talent, with practical lessons in decent and constructive living. It was felt that a few lashea might be better for some offenders than a term in the reformatory. The Forum agreed that the press and radio should be used to edueste people to the nece^wlty of fire pre- vention and that « law should be passed' foid>idding parents to leave children in the home unattended- The Forum w«s also in favor of the closed shop and felt that an 18% increase in wages would not hurt Ihe farmer- Will Ratcliffe presided, Billie Johnston acted as secretary and Myrtle Fawcett was recreation convener. Produce More Cream Do you know that the people of Canada are the greatest butter consumers? With the return of thousands of our servicemen and a low seasonal production of cream, further rationing of butter has been found necessary by our government. We urge our cream patrons to produce more cream to help relieve this national shortage so that substi- tutes for butter will not find their way on to the market Which might endanger the future of cream producers. Therefore, we would urge in- creased cream production, and where possible in- crease of dairy herds to help produce more cream. There is good money in producing cream at pre- sent prices and steady production will assure you a future market. You are always assured of high- est market price for your cream and we will test your cream and pay you with very little waiting. EGGS The cfy^ market is very firm. Due to recent storms, we have found it almost impossible to give you quick service as we like to in grading \'our eggs, as the volume of eggs received on cer- tain days is too great for us to handle, but we are always caupfht up with our work the following dav. POULTRY Our prices are very attractive for fatted chickens or fowl. Tf you have fowl or chickens readv for market, bring them to the creamery. You will be well satisfied.
