BLACKBURN REUNION HELD AT SPRINGWATER PARK The Blackburn annual reunion was held on July Itet at Springwater Park, Midhurst, where about 75 members attended. The dark clouds cleared away in the late afternoon and tea was made and lunch served in the open, where everyone par- took of well-filled baskets- After eating an appropriate address was given by the president, Mr. Arthur Blackburn, and the election of offic- ers held. All officers were re-elcted': Mr. Arthur Blackburn, Stayner, as president; Mr. Kenneth McKee, To- ronto, als secretary, and Mr. Emery Fisher, Flesiherton, treasurer. The gri'ounds being so wet in the after- noon, the sports were held after supper and later a ball game, when everyone enjoyed themselves. Memfbers attended from Toronto, Stayner, Creemore, Mt. Takes Educational Tour To Canadian West .And States Miss Lucy 5racDonaid, teacher with the York Township Board of Education, Toronto, left this Tues- day on an educational tour of Can- ada and the United States, which will last when they return on Aug. 2»th. The party oJE 60 will travel on two large busses, on which they will be provided with all their meals and 1 which they will sleep. The touring party will reach Cal- gary. Alta., in time for the famous Stampede. From Vancouver they take a boat trip to Victoria. They will then visit Portland, Oregon, then 'south to San Francisco and on to Los Angeles, where they will re- main a week. The trip home will see them at the Grand Canyon, Chicago and Detroit.
