There were contests for tlie ladies, races for the little children, a ball game for the older pupils, social cha' for the older ones and, in short, a g»od time for all. Miss Stevens, who has accepted a posi- tion on the teaching staff of Durham Public School, was given a chair of honor, while Wilma Stevens read an address and Irene Duncan made the presentation of a parting gift of- two cornflower-patterne 1 cut glass candle- sticks and three lace doilies. Miss Stevens made a very fitting reply, after which a bounteous lunch was served to all.
