It was a great shock to friends and neighbors when it was learned of the ileath of Mr. Roderick White- side, \Wio passed away Saturday in F. G. Karstedt's store. In the fore- noon lie remarked that he was not feeling well, but came to the village with Archie McEachern. He was 74 years of age and had been a sailor until about 13 years ago, when he came to Priceville and resided on the South Line. He wa.i a good friend and neig-hbor to all. The remains were taken to the hsmK- of Hector McEachern and the funeral was held Monday afternoon, with interment at Colling-\*)ud. The McBacheni and Mk-Intyre families attended the funeral.
