- THE LATE ROBT. FISHER.
RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE.
At the regular meeting of the Knights of Pythias, last Thursday evening, the following resolution was carried unanimously in reference to their late Bro. Robert Fisher:-
CASTLE HALL,
CALANTHE LODGE, NO. 18,
KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS.
Whereas it has pleased Almighty God, supreme ruler of the universe, to remove from us, by hand of death, our much esteemed and beloved brother, Robert Fisher, a member of our order, who departed this life on the 14th May, 1878,
Be it therefore resolved, by the officers and members of Calanthe Lodge, No. 18, as follows:-
1st. That in the death of Robt. Fisher, our beloved brother, we recognize the wisdom and power of God who doeth all things well and for the good of all, and how with meek submission to his will in removing our brother from amongst us, to, we trust, an upper and happier state of existence.
2nd. In his death the community has lost a good neighbor, a faithful friend, and an upright citizen, respected by all who knew him.
3rd. That we tender to his bereaved and beloved wife our heartfelt sympathy and condolence in this her hour of extreme affliction, and pray that the giver of all good may comfort her in this assurance of his protection and care.
4th. That as a mark of respect to our beloved brother, we will wear the usual badge of mourning for thirty days, and drape our Hall in mourning for the same time.
5th. That the above preamble and resolutions be spread upon the records of our lodge, and that our local paper be invited to publish the same.
