Description
- Full Text
- On Saturday last Mr. Samuel Ridgeway, an old resident of Eramosa, who has resided for many years past, about two miles from Rockwood, went down to Norval to spend the day with a friend, Mr. Ostrander, who, lives and owns a Saw-mill in that neighborhood. While crossing a narrow beam over a piece of water near the mill, Mr. Ridgeway slipped, fell in, and at once sank, in about ten feet of water. Mr. Ostrander jumped in after him and made every possible effort to rescue him, but without avail; when the body was recovered, life was found to be extinct. The deceased leaves a wife and three children, comfortably provided for.
