Christie, D. D., Mr.

WEDDING BELLS. - One of those happy events which we are always pleased to record, took place yesterday, in the union in the bonds of matrimony of Mr. D. D. Christie, of the firm of Christie, Henderson & Co., of this village, to Miss Maggie McNair, of Quebec. The ceremony was performed by Rev. James Stuart, at the residence of Mayor Boyd, brother-in-law of the bride, of Prescott. The couple left last evening for Montreal, and will arrive home in about a week. The newly-wedded pair have always been favorites with our citizens and we have no doubt all will join us in wishing them every possible happiness during their voyage together down the stream of time. For many years Mr. Christie has enjoyed the cognomen of "The best looking bachelor in town," but we presume he will now willingly allow some other candidate to claim the title.
