Three Pioneers Gone.
During the past week three of the first settlers of this vicinity, all residing within about two miles of Acton, were called to their long home, the deceased being Mr. John Swackhammer, who died on Thursday, Mr. Thomas Gibbons, on Saturday, and Mr. John McPherson, on Sunday. The combined ages of these three pioneers was two hundred and forty-six years. Both Mr. Swackhammer and Mr. Gibbons have been residents of this vicinity for over fifty years.
