Killed on the Track.
On Tuesday afternoon a woman named Short, who resided on the sixth line below Limehouse, had been to Georgetown, and was returning home on the track, when she was struck by a freight train and killed. It seems that the poor woman had just passed the junction when she heard a train whistle, and turning saw a N. & N.W. train passing over the bridge above, and, failing to notice the train on the G.T.R., proceeded on her way. She was slightly deaf and did not hear the approaching train until it was upon her.
