Death of John McDougall.
The death of Mr. John McDougall, of lot 23, con. 2, Esquesing, on Monday morning was not unexpected. For several years Mr. McDougall has been in ill health and death was relief. Mr. McDougall was born on the island of Isla, off the coast of Scotland, in 1820. He came to Esquesing some forty-five years ago and settled on the farm where he died. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and the frequent visits of his pastor, Rev. J. W. Rae, during his weeks of illness gave him great comfort. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon and the remains were interred in Fairview Cemetery.
