Death of a Former Resident.
The death on New Year's eve of Mr. Wm. Milne, of Ripley, son of the late Charles Milne, of Esquesing, removed one who was well known and highly respected in Acton and vicinity some years ago. While in Red Jacket, Mich., Mr. Milne was taken with bronchitis and returned home about the middle of December. He gradually grew worse, however, and on the 27th Mrs. A. Stephenson and Mrs. James McLam, his sisters here, were called to his bedside. They had the satisfaction of spending a few days with him prior to his departure from this world for the better one above. The funeral was held last Friday and was very largely attended, Messrs. A. Stephenson, James McLam, James L. Warren and R. D. Warren attended from here. Deceased leaves a wife and four children.
