It is our sad and painful duty to record the sudden death of Mary Ann Kitching, beloved wife of John Moffatt, jr., aged 21 years, who passed peacefully away on Sunday morning March 6th. Mrs. Moffat was loved and respected by all who knew her as being a most devoted Christian. Her faith in the blessed Saviour was not deceived.
"That faith to me a courage gives,
Low as the grave to go;
I know that my Redeemer lives,
That I shall live, I know.
The palace walls I plainly see,
Where dwells my Lord and King,
O grave! Where is thy victory?
O death! Where is thy sting?"
E'en tho' I pass through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for God is with me. Mrs. Moffat was a devoted Christian mother. She leaves a husband almost broken hearted and a family of three small children, the youngest being only six weeks old. The husband and family as well as her parents have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in this their sad bereavement. The funeral took place on Tuesday at 2 p.m. - Featured Link
