To the records of mortality one more old and familiar name is added in the person of Mr. John Foster, of lot 9, 7th line, Erin, who breathed his last on Thursday, 9th inst., after a brief illness of two weeks. Mr. Foster was a native of the county of Longford, Ireland. When a young man he served four years of active service on the police force, came to this country when 22 years of age, spent a few years in Toronto and neighborhood, where he married his wife, who with three sons and three daughters survive him. The funeral took place on Sunday to the Erin Cemetery. The Rev. Mr. Fennel, of Georgetown, conducted the services in the church.
