Another Old Resident Gone.
Mrs. Jame Sharp who passed away on Sunday morning at the residence of her son, James, after a long and painful illness was one of our oldest residents. She was born at Smithville in 1814, and subsequently removed to Erin township, near Ballinafad. In the year 1831 she was married to late John Sharp, and in 1850 they removed to the farm above Acton, at present owned by Mr. H. H. Worden. About twenty years ago they retired from farming and came to Acton, but were only here three or four years when Mr. Sharp met with an accident through a runaway which cost him his life in a few hours. They had a family of three sons and one daughter; William who lives in Iowa, Wilson who lived in Michigan, but died there a few weeks ago; James who resides in Acton and Mrs. Baker, of Michigan. Mrs. Sharp was a member of the Methodist Church. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon, the remains being interred in the family plot at Ballinafad.
