Mr. William Hardy died at his home here on Friday. He was born in Melton Mowbray, in Leicestershire, England, and came to this country 60 years ago and settled in Georgetown, where he resided until his death. For 40 years he was a trusted employee of the Barber Paper Mills, and until last year was hearty and strong. Since then he had been in ill health from an internal trouble which caused his death. He leaves a widow and grown up family of five. The eldest is the wife of Inspector Stark, of the Toronto Detective Department, one unmarried daughter lives in Georgetown, and the only son is foreman of the woodwork department at the Central Prison. Mr. Hardy was for some some years a member of the town council. - Featured Link
