Death of John Perkins, Jr.
At his home in Gloversville, N.Y., on Thursday afternoon 15th August, occurred the death of John R. Perkins, after an illness of three weeks' duration. John Robert Perkins was born in Worcester, England, on March 23rd, 1874. When seven years of age his parents removed to Canada, settling in Acton, where they lived for thirteen years, and then took up their residence in Gloversville. On June 22nd last he was married to Miss Lottie Groesbeak[?]. His occupation was that of a table cutter, and at the time of his illness he was employed at Clark, Easterly & Co's. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, of the Sons of St. George and of the Adelphi Club. The burial service on Thursday was under the auspices of the Sons of St. George and the interment was made in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Revs. F. M. Cookson and E. H. Brown officiating. The heartfelt sympathy of the friends of the family in Acton is extended in this heavy bereavement.
