- Death of WilliamTrotter.
The remains of William Trotter were laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery on Thursday afternoon. Mr. Trotter, who had attained a ripe old age, had been in poor health for some time, and passed peacefully away on Tuesday, 4th inst. Deceased was born in Patterson, New Jersey, in 1820. He was a tanner by trade, and in his young manhood came to Canada. He worked at his trade for several years in Guelph, and then removed to Crewsons Corners, where he was engaged for a number of years in the tannery of William Hemstreet. In 1871 he came to Acton. He resided on Seene Street until the death of his wife, nine years ago. The past eight years he made his home with his son-in-law, Mr. James Sayers, Nassagaweya, where he died. The surviving members of the family are: Mrs. James Sayers; John and Christopher, at Gloversville, N.Y.; Mrs. John Plank, Grimsby; and Mrs. Harry Edmondson, Tacoma, Wash. - Media Type
