- Death of Mrs. G. Wesley Wood.
Many of our citizens will remember Mrs. G. Wesley Wood, of West New Brighton, Staten Island, N.Y., who spent a month or so last summer in town at the home of her uncle, Robt. Agnew, Esq., Park Ave. Word came to the friends here last Thursday of the sudden death, and Mrs. R. Agnew, Messrs. George and Joseph Agnew and Dr. Bell left by first train for New York. New Brighton papers have since been received, and from them it is learned that Mrs. Wood's ailment was cerebro-spinal meningitis. She was taken ill on Monday, and died in the hospital on Thursday. During her visit in Acton Mrs. Wood made many friends, and general sympathy will be felt for the bereaved husband and friends. - Media Type
