- The Late Simeon N. Ault.
Referring to the late S. N. Ault, who died on the 19th inst., at the house of Dr. E. D. Ault, the Montreal Witness says: "Mr. Ault was the last surviving brother of the three who composed the firm of J. R. Ault & Co. of Aultsville, and whose names were so prominently connected both in business and politics with the history of Stormont County. Mr. Ault was a Conservative, but was not so active in politics as his brothers, the eldest of whom, Samuel, represented the County of Stormont for fourteen years in the Dominion Parliament, while the other, Isaiah R., served his county and township in every office in its gift. While in business Mr. Ault spent much of his time in Montreal, looking after the lumber interests of the firm. He was a staunch Presbyterian. His remains were taken to Aultsville, and laid beside those of his wife and only son, who predeceased him ten and eight years respectively. A very large concourse of friends and neighbors paid tribute to his memory. - Media Type
