- Death of Miss Lilly McDonald.
The sudden death of Miss Lilly McDonald early on Sunday morning came as a severe shock to her many friends. Miss McDonald had been ailing from stomach trouble for some time. She went to St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph, for treatment, last Thursday, and on Saturday afternoon was operated upon. She never rallied from the effects of the operation, however, and her spirit took its flight about midnight Sunday morning. The remains were brought to Acton and the funeral was held from the family residence on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. J. C. Wilson, B.A., officiating. Miss McDonald was the daughter of the late Ronald McDonald, and was born on lot 30, con. 4, Esquesing, where she resided all her life. For a number of years she has been housekeeper for her brothers, Graham and Allan, and their home was a very happy one. Miss McDonald was highly esteemed by all who were favored with her acquaintance. She was a member of Knox Church for many years, and was a consistent Christian lady. Her sudden demise is deeply regretted. - Media Type
