- Death of W. C. Beaty in Toronto.
The death occurred on Tuesday at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. G. E. Buck, of Wm. C. Beaty, a retired farmer and formerly one of the best known residents of Halton county. Deceased was 78 years of age. He was elected to the Township Council in 1864, and three years later was made Deputy Reeve. He unsuccessfully contested Halton county in the Conservative interest in 1876 and 1880. Mr. Robt. Beaty, banker and broker, is a brother. Ex-Mayor James Beaty was also a brother. He leaves one son, a resident of Milton. - Media Type
