- Death of Patrick Lee, Rockwood.
Mr. Patrick Lee, proprietor of the Dominion Hotel, Rockwood, died somewhat unexpectedly of organic heart disease on Monday evening. He had not been in his usual health for some time past, but no serious results were anticipated. The shock was therefore the more severe when he passed away with but half an hour's warning. Deceased was the son of the late Peter Lee, Esquesing, whose farm was just a mile below Acton, on the second line. He was born there 69 years ago and spent his boyhood days on the farm and in Acton. He had kept the Dominion Hotel at Rockwood for the past thirty years. He married Eliza Hefferman, of Guelph, who survives him, and there are in addition left to mourn his loss one son, Herbert, and one daughter, Frances, both living at home. The deceased had been in the hotel business all his life and was widely and most favorably known. He made hosts of friends by his courtesy and kindness and his readiness to help others at the time of need. He was by religion a Roman Catholic, and was a devoted attendant at the church at Rockwood. The sincerest sympathy of a large number of friends, including many in Acton, is extended to the bereaved family. The funeral will take place this morning from the house at 9.30. The service will be held at Rockwood and the interment at the R.C. cemetery at Guelph. - Media Type
