- ROCKWOOD.
The death took place on Sunday of James Lester, a successful young farmer on the 6th line, Eramosa. Deceased had been suffering from an attack of appendicitis, and had been operated upon a few days previous to his death, but despite the efforts of physicians, he succumbed to his illness. He was a Warden of St. John's Church, and an earnest adherent. Deceased was 32 years of age and leaves a young wife. The funeral on Tuesday was conducted by Rev. Joseph Fennell, of Hamilton. - Media Type
