The Late Philip Kaley.
On the 14th of November there passed away in St. Michael's Hospital, Philip, the eldest son of Mr. Michael, Kaley, of the second line, a most highly respected young man, in his thirty-third year. The deceased had been in poor health for about ten months, and about two months ago went to St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, where he underwent an operation. It was thought for a time he would recover, but a sudden change came and it was soon seen that the end was near. The sorely bereaved family bowed their heads and silently murmured "Thy Will Be Done." His death cast a gloom over the community. He was well and happily prepared, having received all the rites of the Catholic Church on the morning of his death. The remains were brought home on Thursday and the funeral took place on Friday morning. It was largely attended. It left his father's residence at 9.30 o'clock and proceeded to St. Joseph's Church, where a Solemn High Mass of Requiem was celebrated by the Rev. Father Feeny. Interment took place at Dublin cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss, his father, three sisters and three brothers. The family have the most heartfelt sympathy of the entire community. They are stricken with grief. One more vacant place is in the home. Within the course of twenty-two months four times has death knocked at this door and claimed one of the inmates. The pall bearers were the deceased's three brothers, James, Michael and Joseph, and Peter and John Gibbens and Austin Carty. - Com.
