The remains of the late Robert Creech, who died at his home, 48 Huron St., Brantford, on Wednesday, 31st ult., were brought to Acton for interment on Friday morning. Interment took place in Fairview cemetery, Rev. J. C. Wilson, B.A., kindly officiating in the absence of Rev. G. W. Barker. The pall bearers were Messrs. A. E. Nicklin, Alex. Secord, I. Francis, J. C. Hill, J. Lawson, V. S., and Councillor Williams, all personal friends of Mr. Creech during his long residence in Acton. The casket was covered with beautiful floral tributes, which included: pillow from the family; cross, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wright; anchor, the boarders in the home; a wreath, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Luff; sheaf, Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Matthews; sheaf, Mr. and Mrs. Halberstadt and family; sheaf, Mr. and Mrs. Lamb, Mrs. Wylie and Miss Waldron; sheaf, Bible Class No. 2, Wellington street Methodist Church. Mr. Creech came to Acton in his young manhood and was for many years engaged in business here as a harness maker. He removed to Woodstock some eighteen years ago and subsequently went to Brantford. He was married to Elizabeth, the eldest daughter of the late Benjamin Nicklin, who with their three daughters, Mrs. T. Luff, Mrs. W. Wylie, and Miss Jennie survive him. Much sympathy is felt here for the bereft family. - Featured Link
