Death of Mrs. James Stewart.
After a very brief illness death robbed the home of Mr. James Stewart, lot 21, con. 2, Esquesing, of its devoted wife and mother last Sunday morning. The bereaved husband and the seven motherless children have the sympathy of the community. James Stewart and Annie McLean, daughter of John McLean, for some time a resident of lot 32, con. 2, Esquesing, were joined in holy wedlock sixteen years ago last June. Very happily they have lived together in the family residence on the second line. Seven children were born to them - six daughters - the youngest but a few hours old when the mother died - and one son. The funeral yesterday afternoon was largely attended.
