A Sadly Stricken Home.
Great sorrow came into the home of Mr. William Plank, Main Street, last Saturday when Katie, a bright Christian maiden of fifteen, passed away after a brief illness. Over two months ago her sister Hannah, was taken ill with appendicitis and was operated upon in Guelph General Hospital. She returned home and shortly after was taken with fever. Four other members of the family including Katie, and Mr. Plank, who came home from Quebec owing to the illness in the family, were prostrated. All the others are now recovering. Miss Henrietta went to Guelph Hospital to recuperate. It is sincerely hoped that all will soon be quite convalescent. Great sympathy is expressed for Mr. and Mrs. Plank in their bereavment and distressing experiences of the past two months. The funeral of Miss Katie on Monday was very largely attended. It was conducted by Rev. Mr. Gott, assisted by Rev. G. W. Barker.
