Mr. John Ross, who was Principal of Acton School, from the retirement of Robt. Little in 1872, until the appointment of Thomas T. Moore, in 1879, and for a quarter of a century headmaster of Victoria Avenue School, Hamilton, passed away at the home of his son, Mr. Fred. H. Ross, 49 Chicora Avenue, Toronto, last Friday, from the effects of paralysis. He is survived by his widow and six sons, four of whom are residents of Toronto.
