- Little Tot Dies From Burns
While an elder daughter of Mr. John Akitt, of the sixth line Erin township, was carrying a pail of boiling water to scald the separator on Saturday morning, Lillian, the three-year-old daughter of the house, who had been toddling around, asked her sister to remove her bib. The older girl set the pail of water on the floor, and removed the bib and had just turned around to hang it up when the little one in some manner upset the boiling water on herself and sustained burns from which she died on Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Atkitt are hearbroken with grief over the loss of their little one. They have general sympathy. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon to Ballinafad Cemetery, and was very largely attended. - Featured Link
