BALLINAFAD
Mrs. Donald McMurchy died at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Lemuel Ostrander, Melancthon, near Shelburne, on Tuesday, May 16th, aged 80 years. She went there from her home at Huttonville to visit her daughter three weeks ago and shortly after arrival was taken ill. Born in Argyllshire, Scotland, the late Mrs. McMurchy came to Canada 66 years ago, shortly after her marriage, and settled in Markham township, afterwards moving to Norval and later to Guelph, where Mr. McMurchy died 18 years ago. Three sons and three daughters survive: John, Brampton; Duncan, of Erin township; Archie, Huttonville; Mrs. M. McGee, Toronto; Mrs. Marshall, Dobbington; Mrs. L. Ostrander, Redickville. Hon. Duncan Marshall, Minister of Agriculture for Alberta, is a grandson.
