LIMEHOUSE
One of the largest funerals ever held here took place on Monday when the remains of Mr. Henry James LePoidevin were interred in the cemetery at the sixth line. Rev. R. F. Cameron officiated. Until Monday of last week Mr. LePoidevin was at his post as foreman of the kilns of the Toronto Lime Company. He was a most faithful employee and had been with the company for over thirty years. For a couple of years he had been in poor health but with his undauntable pluck he continued at his work where his skill and supervision were so much needed. Mr. LePoidevin was a native of Guernsey, and came to Canada when a young man of twenty-five. He came to Limehouse about 1882. He is survived by his wife and four daughters, Mrs. W. H. McDowell, Mrs. H. B. McDowell, Mrs. R. B. Storey and Mrs. Wm. T. Mills, all of Toronto. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a Liberal. He was always held in high esteem.
